What’s Happening at Celebrating Community?

Celebrate Communities at Outside the Square

When: Sunday 5 June, 2pm – 5.30pm

Where: Mechanics Institute, Corner of High Street and The Crescent, Lancefield

RSVP: Required for catering purposes.

CELEBRATING COMMUNITY is a chance to come together and celebrate what’s
happening and share ideas for what’s possible for the future. There are a
number of movers and shakers who have already rsvp’d, they are coming
to listen and see how they can help make things happen!

We have teed up a really interesting group of local people to share snap shots of their local projects and inspiration. This includes:

  • Paula Broadstock who is a netballer and Leanne Backwell President of the Lancefield Football Netball Club;
  • Jenny Stillman on the Romsey streetscape project;
  • Vince Cafari of Benloch CFA who is creating a community hub and ideas for a fire prevention program;
  • Arie Sawyer who is 10 years old and works on projects in her community with The Field Trip; and
  • Adam Bostanci from the Mega fauna festival sharing his vision for the future.

There will be opportunity for you to share your projects and inspiration. So many innovative ideas were placed in the What Do You Reckon boxes and we will be sharing them and encouraging discussion to give you the opportunity to link up with existing initiatives and
create your own ideas.

We are inviting everyone to be a part of Celebrating Community but you will need to book so we can ensure we have plenty of yummy afternoon tea for everyone.
