So it’s time to talk about a new and exciting venture
that we’ve been working on these last 12 months. Well when I say “we” I
mean me (Karen), my husband Chris and a huge team we have on board.
It’s called Stay Social, a 7 bedroom accommodation place with a difference.
This
project is quite different to anything we’ve done before and has
involved the whole family, including the kids, as well as friends,
businesses and a huge renovation and refurbishment team.
The
idea came about when we saw the need for more accommodation options in
Bendigo. Being the socially connected people we are we thought there’s
got to be an experience we can provide for business and holiday
travelers that connects them with other people as well as the
local scene.
So we came up
with the concept of Stay Social. We found the perfect property and have
been busy setting it up ready for launch in March. From environmentally
and socially conscious design, to supporting local art, to creating a
viable social enterprise model, there’s so much more to say about this
project it’s hard to know where to start. But the first thing is to pop
