Huntly community takes action to encourage road safety

The Huntly Safe Pedestrian Highway Crossing group  is taking action to improve the walkability of their area.

“The safety of all pedestrians in the Huntly community, when crossing the busy highway that divides our kinder and school; new residential developments and local shops and sporting facilities; is everyone’s responsibility.  We have unsuccessfully petitioned to get a push button crossing.  Encouraging a more connected and active community – more people watching out for each other and less cars on the road – might be part of a more creative solution.”
