What a night! The graduation for the 14 participants of the Bendigo Social Change 101 Program took place last Wednesday.

Over 60 guests attended ranging from family, friends, supporters, sponsors, local businesses and community leaders. The graduates gave a one minute pitch about their project when they received their certificate and it was so inspiring to hear how far they had come during the program.

A key note address to the graduates was given by Lisa Chesters MP. “Be bold, be passionate and don’t be afraid to ask.”

A night of acknowledgement and celebration, not only did we get to congratulate the participants, we also got to thank the sponsors and supporters. The program would not have been able to go ahead without the generous support of The Ian Potter Foundation, The Gandell Foundation, the City of Greater Bendigo, Keech Australia, Strategem Community Foundation, Lisa Chesters MP, Bendigo Students Association and La Trobe University as well as the many business leaders who put their hand up to be a mentor to the students or who contributed their expertise in one of the study sessions.

A huge thankyou to the School for Social Entrepreneurs. It’s been brilliant to partner with you to make this program happen in Bendigo. Let’s do it again in 2015!
