Giving The Gift of Food to Central Victorians This Christmas

By December 13, 20148. General News

One in nine people in Central Victoria will not have enough food to last them through the Christmas period this year.

Bendigo Foodshare sources and distributes over 1,000,000kg of food to Central Victorians annually. This Christmas Bendigo Foodshare wants you share in the gift of changing the lives of people living in poverty in Central Victoria.

Bendigo Foodshare is proud to offer the opportunity to give the gift of food to our communities with two gift cards available. One gift card valued at $25 will provide food for a Central Victorian family of four for a month. While the other gift card valued at $40 will cover a Central Victorian school meals program for a month, in which your gift will be helping children to get the food they need to grow, learn and play.

Cathie Steele, Chair of the Bendigo Foodshare said “We really believe that giving gifts is all about being the thought that counts. The thought of giving Bendigo Foodshare gift cards is an amazing chance to show your pride for our region, and your passion for helping our people in Central Victoria. If you don’t know what to buy for a loved one, or if you have a business and want to thank your staff or if you have a Kris Cringle, then Bendigo Foodshare gift cards are the perfect gift this Christmas”.

Bendigo Foodshare gift cards are available at The City of Greater Bendigo (Lyttleton Terrace), The Bank of Melbourne (Marketplace), VMG Accounting (425 Hargreaves Street) and the National Australia Bank (Bendigo, Strath Village & Eaglehawk Branches).
