1. GET INVOLVED IN THE COMMUNITY
Be a contributor and not a taker. When you get involved you build connections and demonstrate your commitment to community. It is all about building trust.
2. CONTINUALLY SHARE
Get excited about what you are up to so others get caught up in what you are doing. This means having conversations with all different people. Get out of your comfort zone and share your journey to make a change.
3.SMILE AND DIAL
Pick up the phone and have a conversation with someone you think will be interested or help you get your ideas off the ground. Don’t rely on an email to get a conversation started. Don’t be afraid to ask for advice, assistance, or things that will help you – people love being asked and love to contribute, you’ll be surprised what you can make happen when you ask!
